“Pokemon Go” developer Niantic today (14th) released the new AR mobile game “Peridot”, players can care, raise and breed cute virtual pets in the real world.
Niantic said that the name of the virtual pet is “Peridot”. After thousands of years of sleep, Peridot wakes up in a new world, but the environment is completely different from before. These creatures need the protection of the player to avoid extinction.
In the game, players must nurture and take care of their Peridot, accompanying them from birth to adulthood; they can also feed, pet, and play to keep the Peridot healthy and help them grow. In the process of exploring the world together, the relationship will become closer. You can also cooperate with other players to diversify Peridot’s species and breed unique creatures.
Niantic points out that players can take Peridot for walks wherever they go, as well as take pictures to record unique memories with their pets. The release date of “Peridot” has not been determined, and it is expected to land on both iOS and Android platforms.
Niantic is an American software development company. Its representative works include the AR mobile game “Pokemon GO” co-developed with The Pokémon Company and “Pikmin Bloom” co-developed with Nintendo. “Peridot” is Niantic’s first original AR pet development game.
