BRESSANONE. Tomorrow in Bressanone, after years of success, the final of the regional Miss Italia competition will take place for the last time. It will also be the last stop of the tour that began in June and will also see the curtain fall on the regional summer adventure, the 85th in the history of the competition. The decision which would have been the last time for Bressanone to host the competition, had been taken by the organizers with Sonia Leonardi, exclusive agent for Miss Italia in Trentino Alto Adige, in spring, well before the “storm” broke out at the municipal level.
The suggestive Piazza Duomo in Bressanone, starting at 9:15 pm – with free admission – will host the important evening for the seventh year, organized in collaboration between Bressanone Turismo Società Cooperativa and the Municipality, with the support of Sparkasse, the Duka company and the Zelo Real Estate real estate agency of Trento. The grand final closes a season of fashion shows held in the most beautiful and renowned locations in the region, which began in June, and which saw the participation of over 300 girls, between the ages of 18 and 30; among them students, mothers, graduates, lawyers, teachers, all residents of the region. On Sunday 18 August, there will be 34 candidates, among whom Miss Trentino Alto Adige will be elected, the only girl from the region who will have the right to access the National Final, without going through the Prefinals.
The jury, chaired by Renate Prader, president of the Bressanone City Council and Mario Cappelletti for Sparkasse, will therefore have the difficult task of choosing the candidate with the most personality, the most enterprising, talented, friendly and self-confident. Precisely for this reason, the 34 candidates will be met by the jury in the afternoon, with a closed-door session, during which they will be asked questions to better understand their personality. The parade will begin at 9:15 pm and will be presented, as usual, by Sonia Leonardi, director and organizer of the entire event who says she is enthusiastic about how the season went: “I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the many locations that hosted us with their usual enthusiasm, believing in the potential of the event and offering the opportunity to all the people involved to feel gratified and appreciated. Our format goes beyond beauty, the competition is inclusion, courage, acceptance of diversity and not homologation. We have removed measurements, height and sizes for many years; girls with differences and/or disabilities, have put themselves on the line and have found the courage to accept themselves that on other occasions had been denied to them. Many are their personal stories that tell of how, through participation in our events, they have found the strength to get out of difficult moments, made of physical and psychological personal violence, illnesses related to eating disorders and mental health and bullying. Girls today are aware of their choices and applaud their self-determination”.
The day’s program is rich: the girls, groomed by the Framesi staff with the Paola Foldi Hair Studios Salon from Bolzano, the Michela Salon from Largaiolli Michela from Dimaro and the Ivana Mattarei Profili Salon from Cles, will parade through the streets of the center of Bressanone to create some photoshoots, followed by the rehearsals for the fashion show in preparation for the evening where they will parade with elegant evening dresses and with the Givova sporty outfit. Not only beauty, but also entertainment, music and fashion. For fashion, to experience the territory, tradition and culture, the colorful and exclusive Tyrolean garments from the historic Gaby store in via del Mercato Vecchio will parade on the catwalk. The group of young dancers My Way to Dance from Bressanone will also perform, proposing a piece of heels jazz. In addition to the title of Miss Trentino Alto Adige, other important sashes will also be awarded that will give access to the National pre-finals: Miss Rocchetta Trentino Alto Adige and Miss Social. The godmothers of the evening will be Valentina Riedo, Miss Rocchetta Italia and Michela Andreatta, Miss Trentino Alto Adige, elected in Bressanone last year.
