Brest customs officers stopped an attempt to import premium cars, significantly reducing their cost

The total cost of LEXUS RX450H and MERCEDES-BENZ GLC 220 passenger cars, according to documents, was about 229 thousand rubles.

As Brest customs officers found out during verification activities, the real one turned out to be almost 2 times larger – about 400 thousand rubles.

In both cases, the cars were transported to the territory of the EAEU by Polish carriers through the Kozlovichi checkpoint. Brest customs has begun administrative processes in accordance with Part 3 of Art. 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (submission of false information about goods).

The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the cost of the subject of the administrative offense.
