The leaders of the Brics group of emerging countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, will meet virtually this Tuesday, November 21st, at a summit that will address the “situation in Gaza and the Middle East” . In an interview with RFI, Jorge Tavares da Silva, professor of international relations at the University of Beira-Interior, in Portugal, believes that Russia and China will take advantage of this meeting to show themselves to the world as mediators of an international conflict.
