This morning (Thursday) it was reported that the British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, informed the acting Prime Minister Yair Lapid of her desire and willingness to move the British Embassy from Yarkon Street in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The two leaders met a few hours ago on the sidelines of the UN assembly currently taking place in New York. Taras’s spokesman informed Lapid about “examining the location of the embassy in Israel.”

Taras had previously committed to look into the issue when she was the foreign minister. She said she understood the “importance and sensitivity” of the embassy’s location.
