London: In the wake of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine, Britain has imposed sanctions against Russian commanders and Iranians involved in the production and delivery of drones aimed at Ukraine. The government said it would freeze assets and impose a travel ban on 12 top Russian officials, including Major General Robert Baranov.

Since the Russian invasion, almost 6,000 Ukrainian citizens have been killed in missile and artillery attacks. Such attacks are a serious violation of international humanitarian law. Iranian-made drones supplied to Russia played a key role in the attacks. In the background of this, the sanctions were imposed.
