The UK government is looking into the role of other countries in spreading disinformation online that could help fuel protests in the country, Euractiv reports, Day.Az reports, citing Lenta.ru.
It is noted that the British authorities have warned companies associated with social networks about this, and also emphasized the need to “take additional measures to prevent” the dissemination of such information.

Fake news appeared on social networks that the criminal was a Muslim. This rumor was refuted – the attacker turned out to be Axel Rudakubana, born in Wales to parents from Christian Rwanda.
