/ British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, preceded the issuance of the CAS report on gender-related services, by warning that allowing children to change their gender identity may affect their health, according to The Times newspaper.

The Prime Minister is concerned that allowing children to use different pronouns or change their names could have psychological repercussions and is categorically “not a neutral act,” as he puts it.

The British newspaper expected that the report by pediatrician and former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Hilary Cass, would recommend preventing young people from using adult sex change clinics until they reach the age of 25.

The Cass report, which will be published tomorrow, Wednesday, will also discuss the important role of schools and the challenges they face, as well as the psychological impact on children who are socially transitioned by allowing them to change their name and pronoun according to the gender of their choice.

The newspaper noted that two new treatment centers for young people suffering from gender dysphoria were opened this month, one in southern England and the other in the north, noting that they are affiliated with the National Health Service.

Medical sources expressed particular concern about teenagers as young as 17 years old who are being treated in adult gender clinics.

In light of the fact that adult clinics can provide medical treatments such as sex hormones, which allow a person to change his physical characteristics from one gender to another, activists say that this puts young people on the path to medical transition, instead of being exposed to more comprehensive methods, according to the newspaper.

She stressed the seriousness of some information indicating that some teachers allow students to change their names and identities in schools without informing their families, despite government directives to the contrary.

In this context, the Prime Minister’s official spokesman highlighted current guidance for schools, which states that teachers must inform parents if their children wish to change their gender.
