Three-time Olympic champion British swimmer Adam Peaty has revealed that athletes are finding worms in fish dishes served in the Olympic Village.

As reported by Day.Az with reference to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old swimmer won a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke at the Games in Paris, after which he tested positive for coronavirus.

“The food is not good enough for the level that is expected of athletes. Because we have to give everything. In Tokyo the food was incredible, as was in Rio. But this time there are not enough protein options, long queues and waiting 30 minutes for food. I want to eat meat, I need meat for the competition and that’s what I eat at home, so why should I change? I also like fish, but people find worms in it. It’s not good. I just want people to do a better job. And I think athletes are the best people to publicise this,” Adam Peaty was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
