(Web Desk) The American production company has announced to make a biopic on the life of famous pop singer Britney Spears.
Universal Studios said in a statement on August 1 that it has acquired the rights to Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman In Me.
In a press statement, Universal Pictures announced that it had acquired the rights to the singer’s 2023 best-selling memoir after a ‘highly competitive auction’.
The studio company revealed that John M. Cho will direct the biopic while Mark Platt will produce, although no casting announcements have been made yet.
It should be noted that Britney Spears’ memoir “The Woman in Me” was published in October 2023, which has sold more than 2.5 million copies so far.
In her memoir, the 42-year-old singer recounts everything from her rise to fame and ending her father’s 13-year legal guardianship after a long legal battle.

“Excited to share the news with my fans that I am working on a secret project with my favorite producer,” the pop singer said in a statement to X.
