Britney Spears denied news that the artist was working on a new album that would be her first in eight years. Spears responded to these rumors in an Instagram post where she claims that she will never return to the industry.

It is worth remembering that the 42-year-old singer has not released any music of her own since her 2016 album, “Glory,” but revealed on Wednesday that she has written “over 20 songs for other people” in the last two years, “I am a ghostwriter and honestly, I enjoy it that way!!!”
Spears also used her caption to criticize speculation that her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” had been published without her consent. The “Toxic” singer-songwriter released her memoir on October 24 and promoted the novel on her social media accounts prior to its release.
Spears apparently deactivated her Instagram account. The Grammy winner previously deactivated her Instagram in October before the release of “The Woman in Me,” which featured numerous explosive revelations about her years of conservatorship and her romance with Justin Timberlake.
