Thanks to her parents, who were among the favorite stars of Czech cinematography, she had Tereza Brodska stepped into the world of film from an early age. With her aunt and uncle, who replaced her as a surrogate family, but she got along great. “I loved them and they loved me—and maybe even teased me sometimes, even though they had two children of their own. But I took them as my own, amazing siblings, and they treated me like a little sister. So… mom Blanka, dad Vlaďa, mom Jana, dad Bróďa! I love you all!” she messaged them through Instagram and attached a number of pictures from her childhood – in one moment, for example, she is captured in her aunt’s arms while her famous mother adjusts her coat.
In her book about her mother, Jana Tereza, she stated that she only saw her own parents very sporadically at that time – always accompanied by her “mother” Blanka, she only went to visit them. “Blanka changed my diapers, fed me, was there for my first words, first steps, played with me. I became a member of her family,” depicted Brodská.
