Croatian national team players get involved. In a celebration video that was published in recent days and became viral on social networks, the players of the national team are seen singing the anthem associated with the Nazi movement in the country, while saluting with raised hands.

In the video, you can recognize Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovich and Zenit St. Petersburg defender Dian Lovran, shouting: “Ready for the homeland”. The slogan that accompanied the ‘Ustasha’ movement in World War II and is actually the equivalent of “Zig Heil”.

These words are the beginning of a song by a local band, whose lead singer, Marko Perkovic Thompson, is considered a definite neo-Nazi, but is very popular in the country and performs every year at Croatia’s Independence Day events on August 5.

Brozovich and Lovren sing a song associated with Nazis

The video caused great outrage as the call is associated with a movement that committed serious war crimes against Bosnian citizens during the difficult war in Yugoslavia. Even after the victory over Brazil, the players were recorded singing problematic anthems.
