Canadian rock singer and guitarist Bryan Adams will perform on August 1 next year at Park 360 in Králové-Hradec. The concert will take place under the banner of rock for People Concerts and the Summer in the Park series, the organizers announced this Tuesday.
“In addition to the singerS performance, an accompanying program will be prepared for the fans from the early afternoon in the fan zone of the Park 360 complex, which is also the home of the Rock for People festival and where two Ed Sheeran shows took place this year,” explains Anna vašátková on behalf of the organizers. Tickets starting at 1,690 crowns will be on sale from this Thursday, November 21.
Sixty-five-year-old Bryan Adams returns to the Czech Republic regularly, this year alone he played his third concert in Brno and also performed for the first time in Havířov in Karvinsk, where he was the star of the Havířov festivities there. Last year he presented the album So Happy It Hurts in prague’s O2 arena, and even earlier he was a guest at the Venice Night festival in Liberec. In 2014, he took part in a charity show organized by the Tereza Maxová Children’s Foundation in Prague.
Adams started playing the guitar at the age of twelve, from the age of 14 he performed with various bands in nightclubs. In 1978, he signed a contract with A&M Records, with which he released his debut album two years later. His moast triumphant record is 1984’s Reckless, which sold millions of copies and had all six top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
Adams became an international star thanks to the songs Summer of ’69, Heaven or the ballad (Everything I Do) I Do it for You, which he composed for the film Robin Hood: King of the Robbers with the actor Kevin Costner in the main role. He collaborated with Tina Turner, Sting, Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand and Luciano Pavarotti.
In addition, Adams takes photographs, his images decorate the album covers of artists such as jazz pianist Diana Krall, singer Annie Lennox or the band Rammstein. Adams has also written several songs for charity,such as All for Love in collaboration with Rod stewart and Sting in support of the fight against cancer.
He received the Order of Canada for his contribution to music and culture, and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2006. He is also a recipient of a Grammy Award,a Juno Award or an MTV Video Music Award.
