BSE ends up 762 points – Dinamani

Mumbai: BSE ended today’s trade up 762.10 points to settle at 62,272.68. The NSE rose 216.85 points to settle at 18,484.10.

The Mumbai stock market settled on a bullish note today as bulls continued their dominance for the third day in a row.

It gained 901.75 points during the day to hit a fresh all-time high of 62,412.33.

The NSE closed at 18,484.10 today, up 216.85 points. The index hit a 52-week high during the day at 18,529.70.

Several triggers helped the Sensex rise today.

First, the market construction turned positive with a rise in U.S. stocks, a decline in bond yields and a fall in the dollar.

Second, a steady rise in macro credit growth in India, followed by a strong economic recovery. Along with this, the correction in crude oil has been a big plus for the market.

In today’s trade, stocks of HCL Technologies, Infosys, Wipro, Power Grid, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra closed higher today. Whereas, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank ended lower.
