Various steps are being taken by the government to strengthen the BSNL network. The central government is now looking for a way to invest separately for BSNL and has planned to allocate additional funds of Rs 6000 crore. Actually, there are many reasons behind this. BSNL is delaying in bringing 4G network and due to this delay, the company is also losing its subscriber base. Keeping in mind the decreasing subscriber base, the government has decided to invest.
The Department of Telecom is confident that this fund will help in bringing 4G network faster as local stack is being used for this. According to ET, DoT will send the file to the cabinet for approval. BSNL is currently struggling to increase the number of new users and the special thing is that till now the company’s 4G network is in the pending list. BSNL had to pay Rs 19 thousand crore for advance purchase last year. With this, the work of 1 lakh 4G sites has been completed.
Equipments for BSNL are being made by Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) and ITI. So far, 13 thousand crores have been paid to both the companies and 6 thousand crores is still pending. So far, the government has invested 3.22 lakh crores. BSNL 5G Network-
BSNL is continuously working to strengthen the network. BSNL 5G is also coming very soon. Fast internet and strong network have been made the base in this. Its trial has also been completed by the government and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also made a video call from this network. In such a situation, it can be said that the government is also working on a strong network to increase the user base.
