BSNL Announces Upgrade of Landline and Broadband to FTTH Connection
Puducherry: In a recent announcement, BSNL has stated that it will be upgrading all landline telephone and broadband connections to high-speed fiber optic based FTTH service. The Principal General Manager of BSNL issued a press release stating that this move is in line with the Government of India’s Digitization Policy.
The press release also mentioned that the upgrade to FTTH will not change the customer’s phone number and that the required modem will be provided free of charge.
BSNL’s FTTH service is available in various monthly plans, with prices starting at Rs.329. Additionally, there is a special Rs 999 plan for six months for rural areas. Customers have until March 31 to take advantage of these offers and upgrade their connections.
