The BSP and ”The Left!” gathered for another working meeting to finalize parameters for the upcoming election campaign and establish common positions on sectoral policies. During the meeting, the two formations also agreed on the need for the government to propose a European Commissioner. Emphasis will be placed on sectors like energy and transport, given Bulgaria’s exceptional potential in these areas. This approach would safeguard not only Bulgarian but also European interests in light of the current situation.
Organizationally, the slogan under which the broad left unity will appear in the upcoming early parliamentary elections will be announced soon. For the first time in recent history, the BSP and other left-wing formations have formed a broad alliance, aiming to offer voters a credible alternative and secure victory.
The first concrete manifestation of this unity was the symbolic assembly held in Buzludzha on July 27, which brought together 21,000 socialists. This unification process received broad approval from individuals with leftist political convictions.
