BTS member Jimin became an Honor Society member by donating 100 million won while serving in the military.
According to the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea on the 22nd, Jimin donated 100 million won to the ‘Comrades’ Love Fund for Dedication to the Country’ jointly run by the Army and the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea on Armed Forces Day, which was the 1st of last month. With this, Jimin joined the ‘Honor Society’, a large donor group.
Jimin, who is currently serving in the military, is known to have donated 100 million won through his father. Jimin’s father personally called the fundraiser in September and delivered the donation, saying, “I would like to donate money to the soldiers who are working hard for our country.”
The donated money was donated to the ‘Army Army Comrades’ Love Fund’, which has been run by the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea together with the Army since 2018, to provide living expenses, medical expenses, and scholarships to Army soldiers and their families who devoted themselves and sacrificed for the country. It will be used for rain support.
Previously, in April, Jimin donated 100 million won to the Gyeongnam Future Education Foundation to raise funds for college and social transfer for students from low-income households in the province. It was confirmed that this was also donated through his father.
Jimin, who has continued to do good deeds while working as a singer, is said to have personally donated about 1 billion won.
Jimin, who enlisted on December 12 last year, is serving in the artillery brigade under the 5th Infantry Division of the Army. Jimin is scheduled to be discharged on June 11th next year.
