K-pop sensation BTS’ members RM and V have officially enlisted in the military, with heartwarming support from their friends and fellow bandmates. The two quietly began their service at the Korean Army Training Center in Nonsan on December 11, with a touching send-off from all the BTS members.
Not only did their fellow bandmates show their support, but RM and V also received love and encouragement from their celebrity friends. Actor Park Seo Joon took to Instagram to share a photo of Wooga Squad— a group of celebrity friends including V, Park Hyung Sik, Peakboy, and Choi Woo Shik—sending off V and affectionately patting his new buzz cut. Park Seo Joon sweetly wrote, “Makdaengyi (referring to V being the youngest member), return safely.”
In addition, RM’s friend and artist JNKYRD also posted a photo of RM, and Balming Tiger’s San Yawn shared a compilation of photos with RM, expressing his support and gratitude.
The news of RM and V’s enlistment comes with the announcement that Jimin and Jungkook will also be enlisting, with their service starting on December 12. However, fans can take comfort in knowing that all the BTS members are expected to be discharged and reunite by June 2025.
It’s clear that RM and V have the love and support of not only their bandmates but also their close friends as they embark on this new chapter. The BTS Army is undoubtedly sending their well wishes for a safe and healthy service for RM and V.
