Hive singer costumes to be exhibited starting next month
Hive and Conflict New Jeans do not participate
An exhibition highlighting HYBE, the Korean entertainment company that produced global K-pop groups such as BTS, will be held at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California, USA. Stage costumes and production logs of idol groups affiliated with HYBE, including BTS, Seventeen, and Seraphim, will be on display.
On the 9th (local time), the Grammy Museum announced that it will hold an exhibition related to HYBE from the 2nd of next month to September 15th. The exhibition title ‘We Believe in Music’ is the corporate slogan that HYBE presented in 2021 when it changed its name from the existing Big Hit. It contains the meaning of ‘spreading good influence through music and creating changes in lives.’
The exhibition will feature costumes worn by each singer while performing hit songs such as BTS’s “Back to You,” Seventeen’s “Maestro,” Tomorrow x Together’s “Sugar Rush Ride,” Enhypen’s “Sweet Venom,” and Seraphim’s “Easy.” Also on display will be books that inspired HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and cheering tools used by fans.
The Grammy Museum was established in 2008, the 50th anniversary of the American popular music awards show, the Grammy Awards. It is a five-story building with an exhibition space of 2,800 square meters (about 850 pyeong). According to the Grammy Museum, this exhibition will be held on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and is the largest exhibition since its establishment.
Girl group New Jeans, affiliated with Adore, a label under HYBE, will not be participating in this exhibition. This appears to reflect the conflict between Adore CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE. HYBE explained, “Each label chose whether or not to participate.”
