To those who, with their dedication and industriousness, clear roads, build homes, build industries and build tomorrow, pay tribute this December 5. This was evident by workers from the Mariel Construction and Assembly Company, during the celebration of the event on the occasion of Builder’s Day.
Approaching its ninth anniversary, the results of this center are noticeable in the execution of more than 100 projects in the Special Development Zone, in which the willingness and commitment of said team has been demonstrated.
Representing its more than three thousand builders, Luis Valdés Dueñas, a worker in the Engineering Department, said that “despite the difficulties we faced this year with fuel and the limited availability of resources, our builders did not stop and we were able to fulfill the agreed commitments, highlighting the housing program.
“Today, we recognize the results achieved in this period; We highlight the role of young people and the sacrifice and dedication of all our builders, who have shown that by working as a team we can achieve success.”
Taking into account the performance of the groups in 2023, the company recognized the outstanding work of five Base Business Units: Civil Construction 1, Civil Construction 4, Services, Works Administration and Industrial Production.
Also, the work of the union bureaus Equipment and Workshops, Gardening and Civil Construction 3 was highlighted, as well as the union sections Engineering, Training, Operations and Yutong. The moment was opportune to recognize 50 vanguard workers in productive and union tasks during this period.
As faithful protagonists of each assigned task, the youth and partisan militancy of the ECM is an example to follow. With the purpose of strengthening their ranks, in this space the card that accredits them as Party members was delivered to five colleagues, and the same number received the Youth card.
When referring to the workers, Yaritza Díaz Martínez, general secretary of the company’s Special Bureau, said that “they have demonstrated the meaning of dedication and the sense of belonging in the tasks entrusted to them, with the premise of taking advantage of the working day and the available resources.
“Their commitment to the country’s top management is to maintain the demand of customers in the area, with the efficient management of their processes and the quality required in production. In this mission, everyone contributes their grain of sand, demonstrating what can be done when it comes to organization and effort,” he added.
On this date, proposed 51 years ago by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro in the 3rd Congress of the Union, Armando Mestre, martyr of the sector, and Commander Juan Almeida Bosque, paradigm of the Cuban Revolution, are also remembered.
