In Lahore, the official price per bag of cement has been fixed at 1360 rupees and the official price of white cement has been fixed at 1960 rupees. The price of 1,000 bricks of the first grade is 15,200 rupees, while the price of 1,000 bricks of the first grade is 20,200 rupees. The price of 1,000 tiles is 16,000 rupees. The price of surya rose from 2 lakh 45 thousand to 2 lakh 55 thousand rupees per ton.
The Finance Department of Punjab has issued the notification of the rates of construction materials at the official level and has directed to sell the construction materials as per the fixed rates.
On the other hand, Cement Dealers Association Pakistan has also announced a strike rejecting the withholding tax. During the meeting in Lahore Chamber, the officials of the association said that after today no cement dealer will collect cement from the companies. , the more people will turn to tax evasion.
He further said that the price of a bag of cement should have been Rs 500 which has gone up to Rs 1500, the association has no option but to go on strike.
