Kudalur: The revenue department demolished four newly constructed buildings on ‘Section-17’ government land near Kudalur. The government has banned development work and construction of new buildings on Section-17 government land in Nilgiri district, Kudalur as per Supreme Court order. In this case, construction of three new shops and one house took place on the privately owned Section-17 land in Sembala area. The works which were warned by the revenue department continued. In this situation, under the leadership of Kudalur Tahsildar Siddaraj, revenue inspector Sakir, village administrative officers and assistants inspected the buildings yesterday evening and demolished them with the help of a power line machine. The revenue department has warned that while there is a ban on carrying out new works on Section-17 land, action will be taken against the violators.
