Bukai Melda and Luna Chamtai Salpeter won the Israeli 10,000-meter dash championship

Bukai Melda set a new Israeli record in the 10,000 meters today (Tuesday), finishing first in the Israeli championship held at Hadar Yosef with a result of 28: 00.76 minutes. The previous Israeli record 28: 09.49 was set for Hymero Almiya in 2015.

In the women’s end, Luna Chamtai Salpter finished in first place with a time of 31: 49.75 minutes. Karwan Halabi finished in second place with a time of 33: 48.45 minutes and Irena Konoblov in third place with a result of 35: 52.18 minutes.

Gashau Ayala who finished in second place in the men’s event with a result of 28: 03.20 minutes and Tadasa Gethon who finished in fourth place (28: 11.13 minutes) managed to set a criterion for the European Championship.
