“Bulgargaz” offers a nearly 3% increase in the price of natural gas for October

The final proposed price for October, at which “Bulgargaz” will sell natural gas to final suppliers and to persons who have been issued a license for the production and transmission of thermal energy, is BGN 63.72/megawatt hour (MWh), excluding excise duty and VAT , reported the public provider. For comparison, the current price levels of the gas hub TTF are at levels above 38 euros/MWh, or above 74 BGN/MWh, Bulgargaz points out.

KEVR confirmed the price of natural gas for September of BGN 61.91 per megawatt hour (MWh) – excluding prices for access, transmission, excise duty and VAT. The proposed price for October is BGN 1.81/MWh higher than the current one for September, or by 2.92 percent.

On September 26, at an open meeting, the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) discussed a report on the application submitted on September 11 by “Bulgargaz” for approval of the price for October. Then, in the analysis prepared on the basis of the data and documents presented by “Bulgargaz” and after calculations, it was proposed that the price of natural gas in October would be BGN 63.87 per megawatt hour – without prices for access, transmission, excise duty and VAT. In Bulgargaz’s application, the prices of individual suppliers and the quantities of natural gas were specified. From these, the public supplier has formed the total estimated quantity for the domestic market from four different sources.
