The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour was introduced in 2022 and is divided into several circuits – Elite 16, Challenge and Futures. The last one, which our country will host for the first time, is focused on young athletes. The future stars of beach volleyball can traditionally be seen in the Futures series. The circuit gives talented volleyball players the opportunity to perform on the international stage and thus gain valuable experience. This is also an important step to the next level: Challenge.
“I am extremely pleased that Bulgaria once again received the right to organize a tournament at a high international level, and this means that elite representatives from all over the world will arrive in our country. – commented Lyubomir Ganev, president of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation. – The BFW has repeatedly stated our ambition to develop beach and snow volleyball in parallel with indoor volleyball. We will be happy if we see a Bulgarian couple as soon as possible in the Olympic beach volleyball tournament, which is one of the most watched events of the Summer Olympic Games. It is with an eye to the future that we are proud to welcome a tournament from the Futures circuit, which gives young volleyball players a chance to express themselves.”
VW Beach Pro Tour expands its geography every year, adding new and attractive destinations to beach volleyball emblematic places. The third edition of the world circuit boasts an impressive 24 events, of which 21 are scheduled for the first half of the year, and among them is Sveti Vlas. Exciting battles near the net and on the sand will take place on several continents – Europe, Asia, North America and Oceania.
