Bull attack during Jallikattu in Tamil Nadu; Two youths died

Chennai: The death toll in Jallikattu on the occasion of Pongal in Tamil Nadu has risen to two. Two people died in the ongoing jallikattu in Madurai Palamed and Trichy Suriyur. The deceased were identified as Aravindan and Tamilrasan. One person was seriously injured. Seventeen people have been injured in the Palamedu jellicut so far.

60 people were injured in Jallikattu at Avaniyapuram in Madurai. It is reported that 20 people have been seriously injured. 40 people were treated for minor injuries. The injured were admitted to Rajaji Hospital. District Collector Anish Shekhar said that all arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. Alankanallur Jallikattu will be held tomorrow. Last time too, a person died due to the gore of a bull.
