While South actor Nagarjuna Akkineni was rejoicing after the engagement of his son Naga Chaitanya, now the clouds of crisis have started looming over him. The Disaster Management and Property Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has bulldozed his property convention center on Friday, 23 August. This hall built near Shilparamam in Rangareddy district has been demolished. This action has been taken to remove illegal constructions encroaching on water bodies and public land. Now the actor’s reaction has also come on this action. He has expressed grief while presenting his side. According to media reports, actor Nagarjuna’s convention center was spread over 10 acres. And it was found to be violating environmental rules. It is being told that the center had encroached upon Tummidikunta lake. In which 1.12 acres of land inside the Full Tank Level (FTL) and about 2 acres of land inside the buffer zone of the lake were occupied. The action was taken by Hydra officials after they received complaints alleging that the construction of the convention centre had encroached upon the nearby water body Tammidhi Cheruvu.

Nagarjuna’s reaction came

The report suggests that a complaint was filed with Hydra, stating that the owners of the convention centre had encroached upon an area of three and a half acres, which was originally part of the lake. Now, the actor has tweeted on this. He wrote, ‘I am saddened by this illegal demolition done in connection with the convention. This action has been taken against the orders of the court and stay orders.’

Nagarjuna sought relief from the court

The actor said that he is issuing this statement to state some facts. He says that he has not violated any law. He has not encroached even an inch. The tea center was built on a private land. A stay order has been issued on the notice to demolish the building that had come earlier. And today, on the basis of wrong information, demolition was done in a wrong manner. No notice was given before demolishing the building. As a law-abiding citizen, if the court had given a decision against me, I would have demolished it myself. But the case is still pending there. The decision is yet to come. I want to make it clear that no wrong construction or encroachment has been done by us. I am putting this on record so that this misconception is not created in the public. We will seek appropriate relief from the court regarding the wrong actions taken by the officials.
