Now coaches for Metro Rail and Rapid Rail have also started being manufactured in India. These coaches started being manufactured in India itself, but still some important components of these coaches are being imported from abroad. But now some important spare parts will not have to be imported. For this, South Korean company Yujin Machinery Ltd is setting up a factory here. For this, the company has joined hands with a company named AT Railway Sub Systems Private Limited.
What has been the development?
Sidwal Refrigeration Industries is a company manufacturing railway components. This is a company of Amber Group. Its wholly owned subsidiary company is AT Railway Sub Systems Private Limited (AT Railway). This company has signed an agreement with South Korean company Yujin Machinery Limited. Under this, an agreement was reached to form a Joint Venture Company in India. This company will manufacture important components like Driving Gears, Couplers and Pantographs for railway coaches in India. These spare parts will also be used in coaches of regional rapid transit systems, coaches of Vande Bharat trains, goods train wagons, tram coaches and other rolling stock of railways. . AT Railway will have majority stake in this joint venture.
The dream of self-reliant India will be fulfilled
PM Modi wants to make India self-reliant. He wants that the goods which are being imported indiscriminately at present should be manufactured in India only. On one hand, this will save the foreign currency spent on imports and on the other hand, India will become self-reliant. The people here will get employment in making these things. Besides this, doors for export of these items will also open. Because the wage rate in India is low compared to western countries. Therefore, the cost of making any item here is less.

Railway Infrastructure Upgradation
