Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has streamlined its Rs 499 broadband plan. In this plan, high speed data up to 1TB at 50 Mbps will be provided. After using the Fair-Use-Policy (FUP) usage policy data, the 1 TB contained will be reduced to 2 Mbps throughout the month.
Earlier it got 50 Mbps internet speed with 200 GB data. But now the data limit has been increased to 1TB. In addition, BSNL users are provided with a free voice call connection. It is available with unlimited voice calling benefits at no extra charge.
BSNL Rs.499 Broadband plan offers 1TB of data
According to Kerala Telecom, BSNL on November 2021 removed the 100GB data offer from its Pan India plan of Rs 499 broadband. Following this, the state-run telecom company BSNL announced plans for Kerala only (Recharge Plans). Users are offered 200 GB of data for Rs.499.

The project is for Kerala circle only
Another report of the publication said that Rs. 499 has confirmed that the broadband plan is regulated. It now offers 1TB of data and all the benefits mentioned above. It is noteworthy that this scheme has been announced only to the Kerala Telecom Circle. No other additional benefits are provided in this plan.
Airtel’s plan is even better
BSNL’s plan offers higher speeds compared to Bharti Airtel’s Rs 499 broadband plan. However, the Airtel plan Airtel Thanks comes with various benefits, including 3.3TB of monthly FUP data. This is much higher than what BSNL offers.
Therefore, if you are a person who needs only 1TB of data, BSNL’s Broadband plan of Rs.499 in Kerala would be the right choice. However, if you want to use more data and can work at 40 Mbps, Airtel’s plan may also be the best choice for you.
