With England’s victory almost certain, former England captain Kevin Pietersen has criticized Bumrah’s poor captaincy as the reason for India’s setback in this match.

Talking about this, Pietersen said Jasprit Bumrah made a mistake in captaincy. Reverse swing does not work in England. But Bumrah made a fool of himself with reverse swing. If I reverse swing I can hit in the direction of the striker. That’s what England did. The fielding setup was also wrong. If the fielders can be stopped at mid-off and mid-on during the reverse swing, the wicket is likely to have fallen if they have challenged it to hit it over the head. But Pietersen has criticized the fielders for making mistakes by stopping them in long-on and long-off directions.
