In broad daylight, a woman is stabbed on the street in Burgdorf, Lower Saxony. She dies at the scene of the crime. A 37-year-old suspect turned himself in to the police.
A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death on a street in Burgdorf, Lower Saxony. The alleged perpetrator – a 37-year-old – turned himself in to the police a little later, they said on Tuesday evening.
He was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. Despite resuscitation, the woman died at the scene, a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday. She could not provide any information on the motive for the crime. It was also unclear what the relationship was between the man and the woman.
The 35-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds from an unknown weapon, the police officer said. Witnesses would have noticed this. They also provided first aid and alerted the emergency services. A car was also secured at the scene. The woman probably drove it.
