HAK Stegersbach Pioneers Lifesaver Training

The HAK Stegersbach has become the first school in Burgenland to offer extensive lifesaver training to its students, providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to medical emergencies.

The training, which began recently, covers a range of essential first-aid techniques, including CPR, wound care, and stabilization of injuries. Organizers hope the program will not only benefit the students themselves but also empower them to assist others in need within their communities.

Concerns Mount Over Mercosur Trade Deal

The provincial government is voicing concerns about the potential ramifications of a trade agreement with Mercosur, a South American trade bloc. The Landeshauptmann (Governor) warns that the agreement could negatively impact Burgenland’s agricultural sector.

The Landeshauptmann cautioned that the influx of cheaper agricultural products from Mercosur countries could undercut local farmers and disrupt the regional economy.He emphasized the need for careful consideration and protective measures to safeguard Burgenland’s agricultural interests.
