Burger King: burgers from starred chef Michel Sarran on the menu of the fast-food chain

An association that is likely to make the mouth water for fast food lovers. The starred chef Michel Sarran, former juror of Top Chef, imagined three burger recipes for Burger King. The “Chef’s Masters” will be offered in the restaurants of the famous American fast food brand from Tuesday June 13 until July 31.

Three variations will therefore be offered: the Master Sarran Mozzarella, the Master Sarran Chèvre and the Master Sarran Poulet. These burgers will notably be composed of Fior di Latte mozzarella, fondant goat cheese, fresh tomatoes, fried onions, a duo of sauces (one with black olives, thyme and sun-dried tomatoes, the other with basil and parmesan) and will leave the choice between 150 g of French beef or crispy chicken, indicates Le HuffPost. The American brand ensures that this collaboration with a starred chef is “a first”.

Gourmet croque-monsieur

This is not Michel Sarran’s first foray into the world of fast food. In 2020, this former Top Chef juror launched the “Croq’Michel” brand, which offers “gastronomic” croque-monsieur recipes at knockdown prices. In France, two restaurants were opened in Toulouse and another in Paris. A franchise establishment also opened in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) in February. Michel Sarran, whose restaurant in Toulouse lost its second star in 2022, also collaborates with the SNCF, for which he imagines dishes on the menu of bar cars.

Many renowned chefs have embarked on fast food in recent years, offering dishes that are often inexpensive and of high quality. The two-star chef Thierry Marx has been offering Franco-Japanese sandwiches on the avenue des Champs-Élysées, in Paris, since 2018, recalls BFMTV. Three-starred, Yannick Alléno also launched the “Père & Fils” restaurant in 2022, which offers gourmet burgers in the capital. As for Anne-Sophie Pic, she opened a food-truck in 2021 which serves burgers in Valence (Drôme).
