Business is preparing to sue Russian distributors over sanctions software

Russian business is preparing for litigation with Russian distributors due to non-working software (SW), which has ceased to be serviced against the backdrop of sanctions. Three lawyers advising clients with such problems told Vedomosti about this trend. According to one of the interlocutors, now entrepreneurs are choosing a strategy: to negotiate or go to court. There are at least two business claims against distributors in connection with non-working software.

In particular, this is a statement to the court to terminate the contract and recover unjust enrichment against one of Microsoft’s commercial distributors, Mont. It is one of the largest software distributors in Russia. The plaintiff was Digital Services LLC. The company’s website states that it is engaged in digitalization and import substitution projects, develops portals, marketplaces and automated control systems. The amount of claims is 27.9 million rubles.
