It is possible to stop the decline in entrepreneurs’ incomes due to the introduction of the QR code system by abolishing some other types of restrictions and introducing additional support measures, said Alexander Kalinin, president of the all-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized businesses “Support of Russia”.

Among the measures proposed by the business are the removal of restrictions on opening hours, the percentage of occupancy of cinemas, fitness centers and other establishments. “Support of Russia” supports this initiative, said Kalinin.

In addition, according to him, it is proposed to make the entrance to the shopping centers free, while the owners of outlets in the shopping center can check QR codes.

“We believe that there should be not only federal measures to support shopping centers and non-food retail, but also regional ones. In particular, we are talking about certain privileges on property tax, because property tax does not depend on turnover, ”said the president of Opora Rossii (quoted by Interfax).

Kalinin also noted the desire of entrepreneurs to use not only PCR tests, but also antigen tests, which are made faster and are cheaper.

Alexander Kalinin expressed his proposals during his visit to the Amur Region. He discussed measures to support business with the governor of the region, and Kalinin, together with the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov, met with entrepreneurs.

Earlier, the union of shopping centers of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking for state support amid falling revenues due to the pandemic and the introduction of QR codes, Forbes reported. In the document, the owners of the shopping center said that the attendance of shopping centers and the revenue of tenants after the restrictions were imposed fell by 60-80%.
