The founder of LLC Lenstroymontazh, Ivan Vandyshev, who was handed over to the law enforcement agencies of Russia by the Spanish authorities on October 5, has been placed in a pre-trial detention center in Krasnodar. This is reported by the Investigation Department of the TFR in the Krasnodar Territory.
Ivan Vandyshev has been on the international wanted list since 2017; in February 2020, he was detained in one of the Spanish cities. During the construction of the Olympic facilities in Sochi, the Lenstroymontazh company owned by Mr. Vandyshev was the contractor for the construction of water supply facilities in the Olympic Park.
According to Kartoteka.ru, Lenstroymontazh had government contracts with the Main Directorate of Construction of the Krasnodar Territory State Public Institution, the customer for the construction of Olympic facilities under the regional program “Development of the Sochi Resort”, for a total amount of 2.9 billion rubles. According to the investigation, Ivan Vandyshev withdrew the company from the turnover and appropriated the funds received under the contracts in the amount of 385 million rubles. Lenstroymontazh is currently bankrupt.
