Twelve production associations, three universities and the public company for Risk Management and Security Control of Guayaquil decided to form an alliance to contribute to the reconstruction of the social fabric, citizen coexistence and security of the city of Buenos Aires.

Under the name “Mangle Inc.”, the initiative seeks to replicate successful experiences implemented in Medellín (Colombia) and Monterrey (Mexico) to prevent violence and promote community cohesion.

Francisco Jarrín, president of the Chamber of Industries of Guayaquil, explained in an interview with Ecuavisa how the project will be executed and indicated that they will initially proceed with the intervention of some infrastructures, with the objective that these can be used by the academy.

The central axis is to offer sports and cultural spaces for children and young people, as well as having a cultural center for entrepreneurship and innovation that allows for the reconstruction of the social fabric. The initiative will not have an expiration date, Jarrín explained, stating that an observatory will be implemented to identify the sectors to be intervened, until reaching “the Guayaquil that we need.”
