Rabbi Reichik was born in California on the 3rd of Tevet 5733, together with his twin brother Yosef Yitzchak, to his father, a messenger from the Lubavitcher Rebbe and a member of the Center for Educational Affairs, the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Menachem Shmuel David Reichik and his mother Mrs. Leah. There his grandfather on his father’s side.

In 1931 he studied at the Yeshiva of Innocent Supporters in Montreal, and while a young man was a member of the third group of students sent to the Chabad Yeshiva in Melbourne, Australia, where he studied between 1931 and 1933.

After his marriage to his wife, Mrs. Hannah Liba, daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Ganzburg in 1959, he settled in Crown Heights and studied for two years at the Avrechim Kollel near the Rebbe’s Secretariat.

In 1951, he joined the staff of a large yeshiva, Or Elchanan, in Los Angeles and served as an influencer.

Later, he was appointed rabbi of the Beit Levy Yitzhak congregation in the Hancock Park neighborhood and served as a justice teacher and rabbi of the local Chabad community, and a member of the California Rabbinical Association.
