But in the Torah world: In Jerusalem, he died on Saturday morning, at the age of 95, Rabbi Yosef Lieberman ztzel, head of a yeshiva and kollel ‘Guardians of the Walls’ and rabbi of the Sadigora Beit Midrash in Jerusalem.

He was born in Preshburg, Slovakia, in the year of Nissan 1588, to his father, Rabbi Tovia Lieberman zt’l, a descendant of the owner of the ‘Hatam Sofer’, and to his mother, Mrs. Rakhil A.H.

As a child, he became close to Rabbi Akiva Sofer ztzel, the owner of the ‘Deat Sofer’, a relationship that continued even when they immigrated to Israel.

When he arrived at Parco, he married his wife, the rabbi Malka A.H., who died in 24 Beshevat 5555, the daughter of the tzaddik gaon Rabbi Yechiel Haim Labin ztzel, the rebbe of Makava who was the brother-in-law of the rebbe Rabbi Aharon of Belza ztzel.

In recent years, he moved to live in the house of his son-in-law, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Fox, in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Rabbi Liebmarn ztzel left behind a blessed generation of righteous men, sons and daughters-in-law and many descendants who follow in his footsteps.

His sons: the Gaon Rabbi Yehoshua Lieberman, the head of the Beit Midrash for Dayan “Hail Ha’atz” and the head of the “Shebat HaLevi” collective study, the Gaon Rabbi Yekutiel Lieberman, the rabbis of the Sadigora Beit Midrash in Jerusalem, his sons-in-law: the Gaon Rabbi Haim Weiss Rabbi of Beitar, the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Shmerler, the Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Fox, rabbi of the Wall Guards community in Ramot and the genius Rabbi Aharon Shmuel Dushinskya, the head of the Yeshiva of the Dushinsky Hasidism, and the son of the Rebbe of Dushinsky.

His brother was Rabbi Pinchas Yehuda Lieberman, the author of the commentaries “Lev Tov” on the Torah of Heart Obligations, “Tov Yerushalayim” on the Ramban’s interpretation of the Torah, and the book “Tov Ha’paninim” on the Torah. Another brother, Avraham, died at his own choice on the 22nd of Hashon 5766.

The funeral procession will leave this evening at 22:00 from Beit Midrash Sadigora on Shmuel HaNabi Street in Jerusalem, passing through including the wall guards at the Ungerin houses where he served for years, on its way to Har HaManochut, where he will be laid to rest near the memorial of the Rebbe Mahara of Belza.
