The Garach Zimbalist was born in Minsk on the 13th of Iyar, 1903, to his father, Rabbi Mordechai Sender, the son of the late Rabbi Yehoshua Hordner, as a child. At the Hebron Yeshiva, he studied in Chavruta with the late Rabbi Noah Shemenovitz, as well as with the owner of the “Vision of Ezekiel” from the late Rabbi Abramowski and already as a young man, he won the Ministry of Religions Award, which was awarded to the 18 yeshivot in the yeshiva world.
When he came to his senses, he married his rabbinical wife, Vera Zimbalist, the daughter of the late Rabbi Yaakov Meir Pomerantz, one of the greatest Lithuanians.
