Important for all Bundesliga fans: German clubs can sign new players until August 30, 2024.
Midfielder Abdoulaye Kamara is moving from Borussia Dortmund to English second division football club Portsmouth FC with immediate effect. Both clubs announced this without providing any information about the transfer fee.
The 19-year-old Kamara moved from Paris Saint-Germain’s youth team to Dortmund in 2021, but never played for the BVB professionals. He played 48 third division games for Dortmund’s second team.
Miroslav Klose is getting his long-awaited creative player. As 1. FC Nuremberg announced, Julian Justvan is coming to the Franconians from TSG Hoffenheim. The clubs did not provide any information about the contract term. According to media reports, the transfer fee is just over one million euros.
The 26-year-old Justvan only made six short appearances for TSG. In the second half of the last season, the midfielder was loaned to Darmstadt 98, but in his 14 Bundesliga appearances he was unable to prevent the Lilies from being relegated.
Second division club Schalke 04 has secured the services of talented defender Steve Noode. The 19-year-old central defender signed a long-term contract with the Royal Blues until 2029. The Cameroonian was most recently active for the AS International Football Académie. Noode is expected to develop step by step at the Gelsenkirchen club. Neither club has provided any information about the terms of the transfer.
“I am very happy to now be a part of S04,” said Noode: “In the past few months I have had very good discussions in which those responsible at this great club have shown me how I can develop further here in the coming years.”
VfL Wolfsburg has signed central defender Konstantinos Koulierakis as their sixth new signing of the summer. The 20-year-old Greek comes to the Lower Saxony club from PAOK Saloniki, but the transfer will not take place until after the Europa League play-offs. VfL announced this on Tuesday.
On August 22 and 29, PAOK will face Shamrock Rovers/Ireland. Koulierakis already has international experience at a young age, having already played six times for the Greek national team.
İlkay Gündoğan could leave Barcelona in the coming days. As reported by the TV channel Sky and some Spanish media, those in charge have told the DFB captain that he should leave “still in this transfer window”.
Gündoğan himself had actually intended to stay with the Catalans. Now he and his agent are examining the potential transfer options. The 33-year-old only moved from Manchester City to Barcelona in the summer of 2023 as a treble winner.
