In Russia, by 2030, 10 new supercomputers with a capacity of 10,000–15,000 GPU H100 may appear. This is stated in the working document of the Digital Economy ANO, compiled following the results of the E+Data conference, which took place on September 11. A set of proposals drawn up as a result of the conference should be sent to the government by the ANO.
The ANO document does not specify whether we are talking about the total capacity of the machines 10,000–15,000 GPU H100 or the planned power of each device. The H100 is the latest generation of Nvidia chips, released in 2022. Each processor contains 80 billion transistors, which provides performance of 56-66 teraflops. In September 2022, it became known that the United States had imposed restrictions on the export of a number of graphics processing units (GPUs) manufactured by AMD and Nvidia (including the H100) to Russia and China.
