Mexico City International Airport (AICM) has asked its users to stay in contact with their airlines if they have flights to or from terminals located in Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Chiapas, Campeche, Tabasco, Veracruz or Tamaulipas due to the arrival of Hurricane Beryl.

Through its account on “X”, the AICM suggested that those who have these destinations check with their airlines the status of their flights and be aware of possible changes in the itineraries.

In addition, the capital’s air terminal stressed to its users that they should heed the recommendations of civil protection of their entities.

“Due to weather conditions caused by Hurricane #Beryl, your flight may be affected.

“If you have a trip scheduled to or from airports located in Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Chiapas, Campeche, Tabasco, Veracruz or Tamaulipas, we suggest you stay in contact with your airline to find out the status of your flight and be aware of any changes to your itinerary. Follow the recommendations of your state’s civil protection!” the airport reported on the social network.

The head of the National Civil Protection Coordination (CNPC), Laura Velázquez Alzúa, announced this Thursday that Hurricane Beryl is expected to make landfall tomorrow in central Quintana Roo as a Category 1 hurricane.
