Since the start of their internal campaign for the presidency of the National Rally (RN), Louis Aliot and Jordan Bardella claimed that there was not a sheet of cigarette paper between their respective ideas. Suddenly there is a thick Cuban cigar between the interim president of the RN and the mayor of Perpignan, which enjoins the far-right party “to open the way to a French-style “Bad Godesberg””.
Believing that he was pushing to the end the logic of “de-demonization” that he led alongside Marine Le Pen, Louis Aliot refers to the congress of the German Social Democratic Party which, in Bad Godesberg, in 1959, chose to register in the market economy and break with the class struggle to speak to the whole people.
“Many other steps must be taken and these steps require us to prioritize our actions to gather a majority”writes Louis Aliot, in a forum at L’Opinion, Released Thursday, October 13. According to him, this objective will impose “a dialogue open to others and open to others”who in his mind cannot be the defenders of a fixed national identity or the defenders of the racist theory of the “great replacement”, a theme “which worries more than it reassures and leads inexorably to defeat, even to blind violence”.
A theme that, incidentally, Jordan Bardella drums during his speeches to activists, using all possible circumlocutions so as not to call it “great replacement”, an expression banned by Marine Le Pen.
“The identity of France is changing”
Another noteworthy phrase: Louis Aliot talks about “stop illegal immigration” – and not just immigration. “It is now up to us to cut the cord of a tumultuous and ambiguous history which will allow our movement once and for all to reach its full maturity by speaking to French people of all origins and all religions”finally writes the former chief of staff of Jean-Marie Le Pen.
Suiting the action to the word, Louis Aliot decorated, Thursday, October 13, Serge and Beate Klarsfeld with the medal of the city of Perpignan. The appearance of the couple, incarnation of the hunt for former Nazis and collaborators, alongside a figure of the RN, is from his point of view a “major development”the laying of an additional brick in the normalization of the party, “thanks to Marina”. A year ago, in a forum at Monde published in the context of the rise of the Eric Zemmour phenomenon, Serge Klarsfeld and his son Arno called ” the Jews [à] stay away from the far right”political family in which they located Eric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen.
