‘C.R. 7 not CR. 37’; Fans don’t want Cristiano in the starting eleven

Lisbon: Portugal is going to face Switzerland in the pre-quarter match of Qatar World Cup. The match will be played on the 7th at 12.30 am IST.

Ahead of this match, Portuguese sports newspaper ‘A Bola’ conducted a survey. The question was whether Cristiano Ronaldo should be in Portugal’s starting eleven. But in this survey, 70 percent of Portugal fans said that Ronaldo should not be in the starting eleven, the newspaper reported.

Some of the fans’ reactions have also been released by the newspaper. Problems with Manchester United coach Erik ten Haag have been seen by many as a mistake on Ronaldo’s part. One also commented that Ronaldo is ruining his own image. Another responded that he is no longer CR7 but CR37.
