Cacahuat Chocolate Premium is a Roldanillo enterprise dedicated to the production of organic chocolate. It is a company committed to the environment and is part of the Green Business Window of the CVC.
“This is a family business that was born more than five years ago. We have always had our own crops, which made me curious to learn more about this interesting fruit. I fell in love with cocoa so much that I decided to start producing excellent quality chocolate that could one day be exported to different parts of the world,” commented Manuel Alejandro Ortiz Andrade, its founder.
The support received from the CVC has been crucial for the growth of the business. Having the green seal has allowed it to attend large events, participate in business conferences, be in the Green Showcase and even make itself known on important platforms such as Bioexpo, one of the most important environmental fairs in Latin America.
Recently, Cacahuat was part of the 30 green businesses, supported by the CVC, that were present at the tenth version of said fair, which took place at the beginning of October, in the cities of Cúcuta and Bucaramanga.
“In addition to being a green business, we are also a BIC company, which means that we are committed to nature. All our crops are found in forests in this area of Valle del Cauca, where we strive to conserve the different species of flora and fauna. We are one hundred percent natural: all the treatment we do to our crops is environmentally friendly,” Ortiz emphasized.
In addition to their commercial work, they have also dedicated themselves to training the producers, from whom they obtain the cocoa. They have taken on the task of teaching them about good agricultural practices and the importance of protecting natural resources.
Currently, Cacahuat has a varied catalog of products where you can find premium pulverized chocolate, cocoa bars, fine chocolates, coverage and cocoa nibs.
