The technology delivers optimal designs at an average speed 10 times faster than manual methods

Cadence Design Systems (Cadence) introduces the Optimality Intelligent System Explorer, which enables multidisciplinary analysis and optimization of electronic systems.

Optimality Explorer provides optimal designs at an average speed 10 times higher than traditional manual methods, and even 100 times higher in some designs. This is thanks to the use of AI technology similar to that used by Cadence Cerebrus to achieve breakthrough results. Optimality Explorer continues to strengthen Cadence’s position as a leader in system analytics with an industry-first solution that enables multidisciplinary, AI-based analysis and optimization of multi-physical systems.

Clarity 3D Solver for three-dimensional electromagnetic analysis, and Sigrity X technologies for high-speed signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analyzes, are Cadence’s first software products for multi-physical systems analysis, which have adopted Optimality Explorer. With its help, they can significantly improve the productivity and efficiency of systems designers, thanks to the possibility of exploring the entire design space and converging quickly and efficiently to the optimal design.

“For years, system-level optimization has been very inefficient based on an intensive workflow of design / prototype / testing / updating, and ultimately production,” he said. Ben Go, Vice President of R&D at Cadence’s Multi-Physical Systems Analysis Division. “With Optimality Explorer’s multidisciplinary analytics and optimization capabilities, system-level optimization – from IC to packaging, printed circuit board (PCB) and system – can now be performed in a fraction of the time and cadence accuracy that has long been the gold standard in the field.”
