The official dates of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023 have been confirmed by CAF. The opening match will take place on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the Alassane Ouattara stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan.

The four-week tournament, pitting Africa’s top 24 nations against each other, will officially end on February 11, 2024.

This will be the 34th edition of the tournament, which returns to Ivory Coast for the second time after 1984, where Cameroon won the competition for the first time.

The CAN TotalEnergies 2023 qualifiers are coming to an end, and the road to Côte d’Ivoire is gradually taking shape. The whole world is gearing up for Africa’s greatest football spectacle.

At the end of the fourth day of qualification which took place last weekend, six countries obtained their place for the final tournament, thus joining the host country, Côte d’Ivoire. They are Algeria, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia, Burkina Faso and Senegal, champion of Africa.

CAF Secretary General, Véron Mosengo-Omba, has also confirmed that the official draw for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023 will take place next September. The date and place will be confirmed later.

With the rapid growth in global interest in CAF competitions recorded over the past few months, CAF is forecasting global TV audiences and record stadium attendances for next year’s edition of its flagship competition – an event which also holds the prize list of the most important event in Africa.
